Antique: Tankard with inscription and handle with cat

Cobalt and grey ceramics, tin. In old German style. Tankard decorated with embossed Neo-Renaissance decoration of portraits of devils, flowers, leaves, laurel wreaths, granulation. Central cartouche with embossed inscription: Einguter trunk macht alle jung ( A good drink will rejuvenate everyone ). Pewter lid decorated with embossed ornaments. Lid handle in the shape of a hunched cat standing on a wooden barrel. Marked from below: impressed number 140 and star. Central Europe 1880-1930. Height 21 cm.
