Antique: Frantisek Hradecky - At the Carousel

Oil on plywood 65 x 92 cm. Signed at bottom left. Frame 83 x 109 cm. Abstract painting on paper, glued to plywood from behind. Frantisek Hradecky (January 12, 1909 - July 1, 1952) mainly painted landscaping and figural work, painted suburban corners, carousel and circuses. He was close to the work of Group 42. He studied at the Czech Technical University in Prague, at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague under prof. Hofbauer, also at Charles University in Prague.
