Light brown ceramic, pewter. Designed by Charlotte Krause ( 1879 - 1968 ). German Art Nouveau period and style. Barrel shaped tankard. Cylindrical top with funnel, decorated with embossed decorative ornament and granulation. Massive handle. Slightly arched hinged tin lid with simple handle. Reinhold Merkelbach, Grenzhausen. Germany circa 1910. Marked from the bottom: impressed model number 2182, Reinhold Merkelbach Grenzhausen. Height 22 cm.
