Gilded polished silver. Fineness Ag 950 / 1000. Weight 55,70 grams. Style and period of the Second French Republic and Napoleon III. Arched oblong shape. Decorated with arc-shaped relief lines, borders. Handles in the shape of a lion’s paw at the bottom. Handles at the top. Marked: French hallmark ( minerva head with number 1. , makers mark of the letter P. B. and a woodcock bird ). Philippe Berthier, Paris, France 1847 - 1851. Length 16 cm. Assay Office certificate.
